Santos Convention Center will be renamed Blue Med Convention Center on January 1, 2022

The result of a partnership between the health operator and the French multinational company GL events

Everybody is talking about the Nova Ponta da Praia. This revitalized space has been an attraction for many residents and visitors because of the Mercado do Peixe [Fish Market], the interactive fountains, and the Convention Center. Cleared after strict health measures, the space has been hosting concerts, events, lectures, and even Covid-19 vaccination has been carried out there.

On January 1, 2022, the venue currently called the Santos Convention Center will be renamed the Blue Med Convention Center. The health operator believed in this project and decided to bet the farm on this important undertaking. It is a bet not only on the city, but on the region as a whole in this growth recovery. The site is a reference in the region and, besides, Blue Med wishes to be an example for other companies to also bet on winning projects and value the regional heritage.

GL events, in turn, has also believed in this great partnership. The French multinational, with more than 40 years of experience and a network of 53 venues for events operated on four continents, is responsible for the Santos Convention Center concession. “GL events’ commitment is to develop the site nationally and internationally, to attract events that generate business, jobs, and income for both the city and the entire region. A partnership like this with Blue Med adds a lot of value to the business. We are joining the forces of our brands to position Santos as one of the main destinations for events in the country,” says Milena Palumbo, CEO of GL events Brasil.

For Blue Med’s CEO, Rogério Martins, the company will have a large-scale visibility with social and corporate events, especially the international medical congresses. “With this partnership, our brand will be linked to all the events that take place at the convention center, including health events. It is certainly a great opportunity to get exposure on several fronts,” says the executive.

To celebrate the agreement, a countdown to January 1, 2022 will be displayed for the public.
