Venue managed by GL events in Santos will host, between July 18 and 22, the 14th Annual Conference of the Creative Cities Network
Santos, July XX, 2022 – The Blue Med Convention Center, managed by GL events, one of the biggest players in the events chain in the world, will host the 14th Annual Conference of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, a global hub for exchanging experiences and information about culture, creativity and creative economy in the urban context.
Santos was chosen by Unesco to host this important event because it has been part of the Creative Cities Network since 2015. It now becomes the first city in Latin America, and the first among member cities in the audiovisual segment.
Representatives from cities from more than 50 countries will be present to share successful policies, good practices, and reflections on the future. Among the speakers will be UNESCO members from the Creative Cities Network member cities and the director of the Cultural and Educational Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Paula Alves de Souza.
“Hosting a conference of this magnitude proves that Santos has a great infrastructure for events of national and international relevance, which places it as an important technical and scientific congress destination,” says Cristian Ynonye, general manager of GL events Brasil responsible for the Blue Med Convention Center.
Being next to the largest port complex in Latin America, the Blue Med Convention Center is a hub for infrastructure, logistics, maritime and offshore events, as well as corporate and social events, including concerts.
